Come listen to them as they "turn up" at TLCC on September 19th to perform their original American roots music with Celtic and international influences. You know them from Sunhill Down, Psych-A-Billy, Boris Garcia, and many festivals and jam sessions. Multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Gene Smith, who has played with just about everyone in the Philly folk scene (and has played here more than any other individual), along with Ernie Tokay on mandolin and guitar, and Roger Scudder on bass are Turnips.They've been hard at work to create their newest sound which combines the best of their past with a vibrant, riveting future.
