Chris Chandler & Paul Benoit
Chris
Chris Chandler has joined forces with Seattle/Paris/el Salvador roots rock and Americana virtuoso Paul Benoit. Together their styles merge like lanes on an outbound interstate. This show delivers vignettes about politics and modern culture with the fire of a Baptist Preacher, and music rooted in roots, colored with blues, and living in Americana. After six tours from Boston to San Diego and New Orleans to Vancouver they are celebrating the release of their first CD together, "So, Where Ya Headed?"
Chris Chandler is as hilarious and entertaining as he is provocative and rabble-rousing. With the fire of a Baptist preacher and accompanied by a wide variety of musical styles, he has performed on thousands of stages across North America, working with such legendary figures as Allen Ginsberg, Pete Seeger, Mojo Nixon and Ani DiFranco. The late great Utah Phillips called Chris "the best performance poet I have ever seen."
Paul Benoit has performed in ten countries as a modern day universal troubadour. His band Hanuman was the readers pick in The Seattle' Weekly's "Best of Seattle" poll. He has more than a half dozen records to his credit including his latest solo effort "Bluebird" recorded in el Salvador.
